Staying Cool

A dark cloud went over us one afternoon on July 26th and instead of rain we were pelted with nickle sized hail. It was enough to completely cover the ground. What a sound it made on our awning. We sat outside and just marveled that such a thing could happen in the middle of summer.

That is amazing that it could happen during summer. It reminds me of my high school days in Hawaii. I'd be sitting in History class on a Sunny 98 degree day and all of a sudden the sky would turn Grey...and for 2 minutes we would witness an unbelievable hail storm. The beauty of it is, in Hawaii, the sun was back out along side a rainbow. I remember it always being such a surreal experience. Unless you've lived in Hawaii or Arizona, you will never know the feeling.

By the way, been thinking of you two!!!! Hope all is well and can't wait to see you soon :)
